Prices do not include fuel- renters are not authorized to tow behind rental boats

 

A ride in one of our boats is an excellent way to enjoy the sapphire blue waters of Lake Tahoe. Boats are rented by the hour (minimum) and rates can be pro-rated by for any amount of time, with price breaks at 1/2 day (4-hr) and full day (8-hr). We are happy to provide you with some guidance on where to go (since the lake is so big) and each boat has a detailed map to help guide you. With these boats you take them out on your own. If you would rather that one of our staff drive for you, we do offer boat charters.

While making sure that you have a good time is very important to us, your safety and the safety of all the other boaters on the lake is also a priority. If you are not familiar with boating rules here in California or have not operated a boat here recently, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with California Boating Regulations. We provide an information packet on each vessel with federal and state rules and regulations in order to assist each renter.

The boat rental charge does not include fuel. We will send you out with a full tank of fuel and top the boat off upon your return. In Tahoe for a while? Ask about our multi-day and weekly boat rental rates!

Please note: Renters are NOT allowed to pull water skiers, wake boarders or any other towable item behind our boats, including tubes. If you would like to waterski or wakeboard one of our excellent instructors would be happy to take you out for a pull. Please check out our extensive lesson programs. Also, while the High Sierra staff are animal lovers, we respectfully request that you leave your pets at home,

Leave the driving to us!​

 

The High Sierra staff understands that not all of our guests feel comfortable behind the wheel of a boat. Therefore, one of our professional drivers will be happy to take you and your group for a ride on Lake Tahoe. Just sit back and enjoy the spectacular scenic mountain views and fresh air and we'll take care of the rest.

 

Power Boat Charters, Rides or Tours are available at starting at $275 per hour. As boat charter times book up quickly we strongly encourage our guests make advance reservations. Please call your preferred location to book. Note: Charter costs are for the boat (not per person) and we can take up to 6 passengers (plus the driver) in the boat at one time. Fuel is included in the cost of the charter.
